2008 Little Dribblers Basketball

Pre-School/Kindergarten (4 - 6 year olds)

Little Dribblers Basketball is an introduction to organized basketball for players who are in Pre-School & Kindergarten and Grades 1 & 2 and have not yet played organized basketball or who have played but are not quite ready for the Hoosier Boys or Girls Basketball Leagues.  Class sessions are 1 hour per week and run 6 weeks.

THE PRE-SCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN (age 4 & 5) play on a half size court (4 on 4) with the basket lowered to six feet.  They participate in 40 minutes of dribbling and shooting drills prior to each game.  Every player gets to shoot a free throw to start the game.  Mini basketball games will be played each week.  Class size is limited to 10 children.

Each child receives a "Little Dribblers" game t-shirt.

THE FIRST & SECOND GRADE CHILDREN play on a full size court with the baskets lowered to eight feet.  They participate in 30 minutes of dribbling and shooting drills prior to each game.  Mini basketball games will be played each week.  Each child receives a "Little Dribblers" game t-shirt.

Our program is designed for THE CHILDREN to learn the game of basketball and have fun.  Our goal is to teach basic basketball fundamentals and encourage the children to have fun and improve each week.  Wins and loses will not be keep.  "We welcome parents who would like to volunteer as POSITIVE HELPER/COACHES."
